pnbspAround 0230 hrs dispatch alerted Buies Creek and Lillington for a MVC with confirmed pin-in and 1 vehicle on fire in the area of Neils Creek and Sheriff Johnson Roads.nbspppbrMedic 8 was first to arrive with one pick-up fully involved into a tree with multiple patients. Engine 822 arrived as Medic 8 was performing a triage and immediately began attack on the auto fire and assisting with patient care. 4 Victims were found outside of the vehicle all of whom were removed by Lillington Police officers and Harnett County Sheriffs deputies and one subject still heavily entrapped inside the vehicle. Rescue squads 881 781 and Engine 742 arrived and assisted with Extrication and removal of all patients on-scene. pMembers started off a very busy Saturday around 0530 this morning with a vehicle into a pole that resulted in minor damage and no injuries. While members were hanging around sipping coffee after the wreck Dispatch alerted Coats and Angier for a house fire with possible people trapped. After the arrival of Medic 6s report of fire through the roof Buies Creek was requested for manpower and a Engine. Arriving shortly behind Coats 2nd due Engine and laying 5 until the last coupling hit the ground about 5 from the ground of the 1st due engine the crew dismounted and quickly went to work assisting with opening up and chasing fire in the walls and extinguishing remaining fire in the attic. Members operated along with Coats Grove and Angier for approx. 2 hours before being released by command to return home.nbspppbr typemozppSaturday was full of events ranging from the coverage for the football game to running the typical Bells and Smells on campus. And running a Building fire at the Hess gas station that sent the crew from 8 to the roof for a possible HVAC unit but found to be a burning Slushy machine inside the store.ppp

pUnits from the Buies Creek area were alerted for a house fire at 115 River Birch Run Sunday afternoon. Chief 8 Riewestahl arrived to find a 1 Story SFD with smoke showing. After confirmation all occupants were exited the structure the Chief found that it was a fire in the kitchen with extension into the living areas. Command was established and units arrived quickly and went to work.nbspppE822 and E642 arrived and deployed one 134 handline to division 1 and made a quick knock down on the growing fire. E842 and R881 arrived and threw mulitple ground ladders to the roof as well as clearing windows and doors for crews operating inside.nbspbr typemozppPrimary searches were negative with the exception of two cats that had succumbed to smoke inhalation. E941 arrived and established RIT in the front yard and command had Erwin E543 move up for coverage at Buies Creek station. Crews operated for approx. 2 hours before turning the scene back over to the home owners.nbspppp

nbspJust a little after midnight on Saturday district 8 crews were alerted to a 1 car motor vehicle accident with possible rollover near the address of 4370 Sheriff Johnson Road. While Engine 822 842 and Rescue 881 were en route to the call Ambulance 851 checked on scene with a 1 car MVA and advised vehicle was off the roadway and it was rolled over onto its roof. Upon further size up the ambulance crew found that there was 1 nbsp PI and that person was transported Code 1 to the hospital with minor injuries. 822 arrived on scene along with 881 soon after 805 had IC and went ahead cancelled all district 8 units that were not already on location. Fire crews from 822 amp 881 worked on scene checking for life hazards and providing traffic control for about 30 minutes until released by SHP.
nbspA little after lunch time on friday District 8 crew was dispatched to US 421 for a reported piece of farm machinery that had a busted hydraulic hose causing fluid to spill onto the roadway. Engine 822 arrived on location with a commercial sprayer in the middle of the roadway leaking hydraulic fluids down both northbound lanes of 421 SHP and NCDOT were already on scene. The four man crew on 822 went to work using their spill kits to clean the mess and were able to reopen one of the northbound lanes. Within 30 minutes NCDOT sand truck arrived on scene to clean up the rest of the spill. 822s crew operated on scene for about 40 minutes before returning back into service.

pOn Tuesday members of the BCVFD were toned to a possible MVAnbspspan fcktemp1spanrollover near the Harnett Airport. Upon arrival found large dump truck loaded with sand resting on its side. No serious injuries reported. Fire units remained onscene until same was mitigated and released by SHP.brp
pOur first working fire call at the new CU school was…a piece of lawn maintenance equipment. Same fully involved upon arrival of E822 and B871. Fire was knocked down quickly however machine was total loss. brp
pStorms rolled through the area this evening bringing down trees along with heavy rain and lightning. E 821 and B 871 responded for a tree fire and found a 100 pine tree burning from the ground all the way up. While operating on this Lillington was dispatched for a building fire at the Advance Auto parts. E 821 responded on the run and arrived as first due Engine behind Chief 7 Bethune. Crews investigated and found Lightning struck the building and shorted out the elec. service causing a small fire. 821s crew operated for 20 mins before returning to service.nbspppCrews later ran with Angier on a lightning strike but turned out to be nothing.ppp
